…when a very interesting book becomes a difficult read, not because of the writing style but because it pushes you to self-reflect on your roles and assumptions personally. It’s a struggle to stay objective and focus on research alone. I’ve identified parts of myself (past, present and aspired future) with all the women and their diverse epistemological orientations in development. It was like a journey from girl to mother, to my aspired woman-self. 🙂 Over this day I’ve felt sad, anxious and at the end liberated from and by this book. (…speaking of intense stuff…)
